Of his three-bedroom house
"I'm gonna miss it here. This was a place to fuck chicks, and I've outgrown it."

On his legacy:
"I'm claiming ownership of my legacy. Look at it: At.Long.Last.A$AP. A-L-L-A. Like slang for 'Allah.' It's the return of the god MC. I'm named after Rakim, and I'm finally facing what it means: I was born to do this shit. And I hope I get to do it for a very long time."

GQ.COM EXCLUSIVE: ADAM HOROVITZ ON LIFE AFTER THE BEASTIE BOYS

GQ.COM EXCLUSIVE: ADAM HOROVITZ ON LIFE AFTER THE BEASTIE BOYS

“We’re done. Oh Yeah. Adam Yauch started the band. It’s not like a thing where we could continue without him,” Adam Horovitz tells GQ’s Zach Baron of trying to find life beyond the Beastie Boys in the wake of bandmate Adam Yauch’s death. "Adam was one of my best friends; I saw him more than I saw my whole family. You know, me, Adam, and Mike were together every day, recording, touring, as friends. And so: huge hole.”

Horovitz has a turn in Noah Baumbach’s up coming While We’re Young in which he plays a square Brooklyn dad. An irony, not entirely lost on him. But he appears to welcome the challenge of doing something new, even if he wasn’t ready to let go of the band. ""It's not that I am not happy where I'm at,” he explains. "I just feel like something else has to happen next, because I was this person for so long, and I'm still that person, but, like, the thing is gone. So I need a thing."

FORCEFUL COMMENTARY ON CULTURE OF VIOLENCE BETWEEN CITIZENS AND POLICE DIRECTED BY AG ROJAS

Fresh off a series of lauded appearances at Austin's SXSW festival, Run The Jewels have unveiled an AG Rojas directed video for their track "Close Your Eyes (And Count To Fuck)" featuring Zack De La Rocha, the latest single from their recent critical masterpiece Run The Jewels 2

The jaw dropping clip stars Shea Whigham (Boardwalk Empire; Wolf of Wall Street) and Keith Stanfield (Selma; Straight Outta Compton) as a white cop and a black youth locked in a violent struggle that appears to have no beginning and no end, nor a clear instigation or purpose. Rojas has issued a statement on the video, excerpted below (read the full statement at the group's site):

"When Run The Jewels sent me this, I knew we had the opportunity to create a film that means something. I felt a sense of responsibility to do just that. We had to exploit the lyrics and aggression and emotion of the track, and translate that into a film that would ignite a valuable and productive conversation about racially motivated violence in this country. It's provocative, and we all knew this, so we were tasked with making something that expressed the intensity of senseless violence without eclipsing our humanity. For me, it was important to write a story that didn't paint a simplistic portrait of the characters of the Cop and Kid. They're not stereotypes. They're people - complex, real people and, as such, the power had to shift between them at certain points throughout the story. The film begins and it feels like they have been fighting for days, they're exhausted, not a single punch is thrown, their violence is communicated through clumsy, raw emotion. They've already fought their way past their judgments and learned hatred toward one another.  Our goal was to highlight the futility of the violence, not celebrate it."

For El-P of Run the Jewels "this is a vision of a seemingly never ending struggle whose participants are pitted against each other by forces originating outside of themselves."

Adds partner Killer Mike "this video represents the futile and exhausting existence of a purgatory-like law enforcement system. There is no neat solution at the end because there is no neat solution in the real world. However, there is an opportunity to dialogue and change the way communities are policed in this country. Salutes to AG Rojas for his unique take on the subject matter and to Shea and Keith for giving us their all and bringing it to life."

The poignant clip arrives in the midst of a flurry of festival appearances across the world, including CoachellaBonnaroo, PitchforkSasquatchPrimaveraFirefly, RoskildeReading
Leeds and many more. The group's firebrand performances both live and on record have spurred a rabid fan base and a seemingly unending stream of accolades and high profile press features, including an interview in an upcoming issue of Newsweek, the cover story of the inaugural issue of
FLOOD Magazine, a recent in depth profile from The Guardian, and more to come.

Coinciding with the growing popularity of the NFL in the UK, Hip Hop legends ‘M1 dead prez & Bonnot’will be releasing ‘Offense Defense’ in March 2015, alongside an American Football themed music video. This follows M1 dead Prez & Bonnot’ recent BBC One interview and “Fire In The Booth Legends’ with Charlie Sloth and a premiere by the world renowned tastemaking The Source Magazine which gained further international notoriety through a feud between Eminem and it’s former co-ownerBenzino.

'Offense Defense’ combines Bonnot’s heavy, aggressive beat with M1 dead prez’s trademark snarling tone and relentless vocal flow. The video which was filmed in Italy features ‘M1 dead prez &Bonnot’ dressed in Bergamo Lions (3 times European Champions and 12 times Italian champions) apparel.‘ This release happens to come at a time where American Football has become increasingly popular throughout the UK and becoming a regular topic in it’s media, with the last match selling out Wembley Stadium and The Telegraph describing it as “one of the most engaging sports you’ll see”. The popularity of the sport has reached the point where London Mayor Boris Johnson is considering a London NFL franchise. “We yearn for an NFL Franchise, we will roll out the red carpet, we will strew your way with petals”.
‘M1 dead prez & Bonnot’ are also due to be interviewed by DJ Semtex on BBC 1 Xtra and will be premiered by TBC. This  announcement comes right at the of time of one of the most watched sporting event around the world, the combination of the NFL season and 2015 Super Bowl broadcasted on Channel 4 and Sky Sports with later games taking place at Wembley Stadium from 4th October for the next season.
